Damn Virgins is a love letter straight to the graphic adventures of the 90s The love child of Spanish indie dev Luis Ruiz, it is loaded with references to classic LucasArts as Monkey Island and Sam and Max series, not to mention full-motion video cut scenes. It's pretty funny. That is why it is kind of drag that it's not really a lot of fun games for kids online to play.

OH MY, OH Maya
The premise of the game reviews is to prevent the Mayan apocalypse, seven virgins to sacrifice - and this time, it is seven college boys clumsy, promising a trip to Mexico to finally "be sacked "and not know that they are actually being killed by ritual.
Despite a seemingly dark premise, the comedy here is more PG NC-17, and not particularly sexual violence are not special. Think of Monkey Island by Revenge of the Nerds, with elements intentionally ridiculous like a super-intelligent fish. Also, expect a lot of fart jokes.

MUY divertido
What really surprised me about Virgins Damn is it actually pretty funny - laugh at school, broad characterizations and all. And if you've played all the games LucasArts, there are many references to the party more fun (if not, still a lot of fart jokes to go around).
Doubly impressive: the entire game, including 45 minutes or more of motion video - mostly shot in deliberately cheap wigs - are in Spanish, with English subtitles, but the question jokes did not seem to bear any translation losses. Whether it is because they are just good at writing or just stupid as being controversial. Make me laugh, anyway.
(A lot of credit should also go to the voice and film actor, including Javier Botet, who has appeared in such films as Mama, Crimson Peak and The Revenant.)

GET A GRIP
Damn Virgins has a lot going for it. It was charming, funny and well acted. Unfortunately, it did not work that well as an actual game. Mainly including inventory puzzles you've handled many gardens dozens adventure game, they are not particularly difficult and not particularly creative. In their defense, they at least make sense of the logic in the context of the game goofball comedy.
The interface, though, is what really ruined everything. Presented in 3D, it's full of inconvenient views that make it difficult to find the necessary items to solve puzzles and even move from room to room. A light up function objects can interact with to help, but ... not enough.
Add versatile controller will see a big difference. A right-click and drag your view rotation, but only in one plane of vision and only one of a few other static viewpoint. And when you rotate your view, it brought in a speed of not quite fit with your mouse drag, which tends to make me dizzy after a while. Fart jokes have a lot less fun when I felt faint nausea.

NOT FOR ADVENTURE s game reviews
While I did not like the presentation of the game itself - I personally think it would be better off ditching Ruiz 3D altogether and go with an approach 2D motion video such as Gabriel Knight II: The Beast In - damn Virgins do not make it, at least partially, with a humorous tone uneducated but surprisingly interesting. While it may not be a game for everyone, it's worth a look for fans to experience the adventure.
